The Benefits of Journaling
In Dr. Sanjay Gupta’s HBO documentary “One Nation Under Stress,” it opens with a startling statistic; life expectancy in the United States is going down and deaths of despair i.e. drug, alcohol and suicide deaths are on the rise.
It’s a trendy topic these days with hashtags like #selfcaresunday, but what exactly does self care mean and look like in every day life? I can tell you two things. One, it could never be selfish, and two, it’s so much more than a Sunday.
I teach what I call the “Self Care Lifestyle.”
Manifest and Thrive With a Self Care Lifestyle presented by Alyssa Kuzins of The Journal Deck (OG Journal Deck)
The science is out. Stress is killing us and we need self care more than ever. So what does self care really mean and how can it help you manifest your best life? Hint hint, it's so much more than bubble baths and definitely more than a Sunday. In December 2017, Alyssa Kuzins, founder of The Journal Deck, realized that she felt suffocated, unfulfilled and overwhelmed, feelings many of us share. She committed to 2018 as the year of spaciousness and was shocked by the profound "downloads" and abundance she received during that year. She felt awakened to a whole new way of living. In this workshop, Alyssa shares her unique concept of the "self care lifestyle," and we'll unpack the principles of spacious living to manifest your best life. Using the science of journaling, we'll write, discuss, meditate and move our bodies a bit to make space for our Truth. Self Care can change the world by changing yours first!
Living and Leading From Your Feminine Power presented by Alyssa Kuzins of The Journal Deck (Goddess Journal Deck)
Feminine Living is so much more than wearing pink. Through her own heartbreak, Alyssa Kuzins, founder of The Journal Deck, learned what it meant to live and lead fully from your feminine power, thus finding the courage to be unapologetically you. A former over-achiever, Alyssa is dedicated to helping women rediscover their feminine energetic qualities in a masculine culture that promotes doing more, having more, and going faster. We'll circle to discuss the science of slowing down to write, as well as break down what leading from the "divine feminine" really means on a scientific and energetic perspective. We'll also utilize journal prompts, intuitive guided dancing, and meditation to tap BACK into our feminine power to live our best lives.
Presented by Alyssa Kuzins of The Journal Deck
Many folks think of journaling as a 14-year-old girl writing "Dear Diary," but the science is out, and it's so much more than that. With folks like Tim Ferriss, best-selling author of The 4 Hour Workweek, saying that journaling is like "a photography dark room for the mind," it's no wonder that the most successful people in the world journal.
But what does putting pen to paper actually do for us? Why should we add another thing to our to-do list? Join Alyssa for an in-depth look at the science of journaling and the lifestyle it promotes. By the end, you'll have a better understanding in how the ability to change your life lies in "writing it out, to clear it out."
